Melissa as a bridesmaid

I'm attempting to attach a photograph to my blog - again, a new experience for me! My husband, daughter, and I along with a college friend of my daughter's spent 5 days in Myrtle Beach. We had a great time! We left Myrtle Beach for Greensboro, NC where our daughter was in her first wedding - the bride was her sorority sister. The ceremony was lovely, and I thought our daughter Melissa looked beautiful. In July we will be celebrating another wedding - our son Jeff will be taking the "big leap"! So Melissa will be a bridesmaid a second time. I'm feeling old!!

Second posting!

I must say that Maryland 23 has been a very frustrating experience for me. I have learned something about myself - when it comes to training on the computer, I do much better with a real person training me, not self-training. I've had to ask various staff members for help while doing this program, which I really don't like to do. And I have a suggestion: for those of us who need extra help with this, why don't you pair us up with young staff members (i.e. CA's) who have inborn knowledge of computers and could help people like me learn this at a much quicker pace. I know I would appreciate the extra help!

Since I work part-time, the pressure to do everything for CEU hours is not hanging over me. I'm working my way through (very slowly!) week by week. My personal goal is to familiarize myself with the different terms (Flickr, RSS, etc.) even though I may not be able to do all the activities. At least that's how I keep my sanity!

So I will continue to move through my worksheet and keep hoping that this will eventually click for me. It's a challenge!

This is all so new to me

Against my better judgement, I'm trying the "blog thing". I realize that my two twenty-something kids know more about this than I do, and that bothers me! So I'm attempting to try something totally "outside the box" for me. Maybe I'll feel smarter - who knows?!! It will be an interesting adventure and from what I'm hearing through other librarians, a frustrating one at times!
